Is there a way to turn these nasty looking things off? I hate having random colors pop up and that awful pink color makes me dry heave. I'm referring to the colored tabs that appear in the title bar when using File Explorer.

Another thing that bothers me, besides the lack of transprency, is the lack of shadows. Maybe I'm just old but not having a shadow behind a selected window is not very pleasant on the eyes.

I'm currently using a visual style for W7 which is exactly what Microsoft should have done with Aero Glass. The squared edges really change the entire feel and the shadows are not as dark. I think it looks so much nicer than the boring abyss that is W8.

I am a current iPhone 4 user and iOS is getting very boring. I'm just looking for something new and the Lumia 920 or Ativ S could be the perfect fit. That or an S3 but the TouchWiz UI ruins a great OS I think.
