Solved Windows 8.1 not booting

Try following in command prompt

diskpart
list disk
select disk [number] (number of the disk you want, if you have 1, type 0(zero), if you have multiple type choose the number of the disk that contains windows)
list partition
select partition [number] (choose the partition number that contains windows installation)
active

Everything between () is for information, don't type it in command prompt
The [] also don't type it, just the numbers.

For example

Well I just tried clearing the read only on my hard drive and.. to no prevail it said 'diskpart failed to clear disk attributes'

After running: chkdsk c: /f /r /x it came up with a error. The line that the error was on goes like this:
A disk read error occurredc0000185
Correcting error in index $I30 for file 35
CHKDSK discovered free sapce marked as allocated in the bitmap for index $I30 for 35
Sorting index $I30 in file 35

After running: chkdsk c: /f /r /x it came up with a error. The line that the error was on goes like this:
A disk read error occurredc0000185
Correcting error in index $I30 for file 35
CHKDSK discovered free sapce marked as allocated in the bitmap for index $I30 for 35
Sorting index $I30 in file 35

After that it came up with a lot more code. (I was too lazy to write it all down )

Well I was going though my hard drives files and found something >
I think I may have fould one of the trpjan's folder.
It's called 'InstallSheild Installation Information' (sounds pretty fishy to me )

Try in command prompt

format quick fs=fat32
list partition
list volume [COLOR=red]Note:[/COLOR] Note the volume letter where the Windows OS is installed.
exit

bcdboot X:\windows [COLOR=red]Note:[/COLOR] Replace "X" with the volume letter of the Windows OS partition.

BCDBoot copies the boot files from the Windows partition to the EFI System partition and creates the BCD store in the same partition.[/B]

This creates 1 partition that every OS has, called EFI Boot partition.
There is also the OEM Recovery Tools Partition.

create partition msr

This creates the MSReserved Partition.

Details please, this doesn't give enough information because there are 2 partitions.

Sorry.
It says that MSR and EFI partitions are only supported on GPT disks.
Convert the selected disk to GPT and try again.
