The Store appears for about 1 second & then the failure screen appears.

Verify these services are set to Automatic & Started.

-Windows Management Instrumentation
-WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service
-IP Helper
-Network Store Interface Service

Verify you have these files in C:\Windows\System32\drivers

-tcpip.sys
-tdx.sys

Verify these are enabled..

The 2 files are in system 32.

Still get error page.

At this point I think the best course of action would be to do a Reset or Refresh.

My only last option would be to look through event logs to see if it points to anything of interest.

I notice in the screenshot on post #6 Wise Cleaner. If you have used any Registry cleaning programs you might want to see if they have a restore feature.

Also, you could try a System Restore, but I think Refresh would be a better choice.

My mind got a little fuzzy after midnight.

I just now tried to restore & it said, "missing files, insert recovery media".

I guess I'll have to contact Microsoft & get some 8.1 Pro wmc disks if they are free or cheap enough.

Other than the Store problem my computer runs good.

I'll wait till win 9 comes out before reinstalling. {if necessary}

powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml

I will try it at startup before anything loads.

Or in regular mode.

I only have 1 account.

I think there is a built in administrator account.
or guest account.
Haven't looked there for a long time.
Maybe I should.....
