Things are looking up for Microsoft Success!!!

Sorry naysayers, but the doom and gloom might be coming to an end.

Remember, this is an $899-$999 tablet (though I prefer to describe it as a full-blown Windows PC compacted and stuffed into a tablet's chassis), not a $199 Nexus 7 or $329 iPad Mini. Also remember this is just the start. The Pro should evolve to the point where you can have a 1.5 or 2 pound tablet with all-day (at least) battery life -- and still get all of the performance of a mainstream Windows 8 laptop.
And that's the deal-closer for me. It's fast. Don't believe me? Check out these benchmarks.
"Surface Pro is easily the fastest tablet on the market today," Anandtech said.
The basic point being that Intel's Ivy Bridge silicon crushes Apple's A6X-based iPad and ARM-based Android tablets in most benchmarks.
And it's not just numbers -- you feel it. Everything pops and there's almost none of the lag you invariably run into with other tablets.

I know this because I've been using the Pro and its speed is addictive -- despite the comparative heft and shorter battery life compared with other tablets (though I wouldn't call 2 pounds "heavy" and battery life isn't as bad as reviewers make it out to be if you tweak Windows 8 settings).

Since this topic has jumped to Apple's infamous iMac computers maybe you guys just might want to jump on some really great values. Other on MacMall they are reducing the hell out of the Mac Books with retina display, and I do mean cutting prices. Not sure what is happening, but for now the price cuts should make you want to go and purchase a really great, and wonder laptop put out by the really wonderful folks over there at Apple Inc. . .:what:

How does Mac differ from Windows? If it's anything like Ubuntu, great details are not necessary.
I tried Ubuntu once for a few days as a work around to the nag screen of my pirated XP. At the time I didn't have much experience. I bought a legal copy of XP Pro with my next paycheck.
I'm not saying Ubuntu left a bad taste. I'm know the blame goes to my inexperience at the time. Two weeks of 95, three months of 98 SE and six months of XP Pro.
I was in a few computer groups on MSN back then. As I recall, us newbies and rookies back then accepted XP because we didn't know or understand what was going on like experienced users. It seems the big issue was the automation related to PnP.
Experienced users were refusing to bail out on 98. MS was making a big mistake with XP changes. Many were going to go to Linux, Ubuntu etc. where they could still control what happens on their computer. And they were free.

Vista— aside from introducing the search bar box to the start menu, handwriting recognition including the ability to maintain your handwriting in Windows Journal without converting it to text, voice recognition… Intern XP into a martyr.

Knowing MacMall, they are probably the faulty retina screens with the ghosting problems. The LG ones I think. I've had nothing but bad experiences with MacMall.

And honestly, I think a primary reason Apple has left their PC lines out to rot is for exactly this reason. They don't get a cut.

I guess this is an example of Apple leaving there PC lines to rot.

Apple issues Safari update for Snow Leopard | MacFixIt - CNET Reviews

Every op sys on the market issues security updates, especially if a new hack is detected. When a system gets left out to rot, it signifies that they've stopped evolving it.. figuring out new and better ways for it to work. The rot occurs as it gets passed by. You either keep up with change or get run over by it.
