No, you are more than likely about right on. What I was trying to figure out was how you were running 64 bit on 1 GB of RAM. But, your spec's do state 2, so I got my question answered. I know with this system that I have 42 processes right now running in the background plus the two active, one being the virtual machine. And yes, running a virtual machine does use a bit of RAM. But please remember, I have not tweaked this machine and um I can get lazy and look at it like this...can I up the RAM? Yes? Good...easy fix. Sometimes the pain ain't worth the gain. Also, if it ain't broke...leave it alone.
And when you are ready to try virtual, I know whs will get you going right. Read his stuff on that, and it got me up and running.
And please, at least to me, you don't have to apologize for "life's issues". We all have them, and we get back when we can.
