You'd likely do well to reset your router to factory settings, reboot Windows then check that address to change the lease time.

To reset router, many times there is a small tiny button to push on it with a pen or similar.

I'll only do a factory reset if I have to because I've got loads of forwarded ports that need to say that way.
    In addition:

Probably a dns configuration error in the router dealing with dns relay and/or not having a preferred dns set in it.
Easiest way is factory reset. Or disable dns relay and actually set a preferred static dns in the router.

I personally use 208.67.222.222. It's fast as can be. My fallback secondary dns is 4.2.2.1 which is also just as fast.

All routers have DHCP settings too.

I did a factory reset, no effect.
The fact that other computers/devices are affected leads me to believe that it's probably my router. The strange thing is that it only is affecting my wired computers.

It has DHCP settings, they're just not all in one place. All I was saying is that I couldn't find the lease setting.

It happens. Could be a cooky router, even after the firmware update.

    Things to try:

    1) If it has a WAN select (or WAN Negotiation speed, Duplex mode or similar), set it to Auto

    2) Reboot pc and see how it it. If still trouble, go into the device manager. Right click the Realtek lan driver. Properties | Advanced

For Link Speed/Duplex Mode, make sure that is on auto. If it already is, experiment with the fastest setting shown but only the one saying half duplex.

If no good, try the same fastest setting @ full duplex.

Could refreshing Windows 8 fix it perhaps?
I am starting to get very annoyed with this...

It just constantly says it's "Identifying..."

    Doubtful.

As a testing procedure, set the driver setting back to auto. Connect the cable from your machine to Optimum Online's (or other ISP) modem. See how things work like that. If it works great, the router is definitely still the issue.

You'd have to reboot the modem though, so it learns your hardware mac address.

I can connect to the internet just fine. The issue is that I can't connect to other devices on the network.

Your screenshot shows problems...and I already said to enable NetBIOS for the adapter.

Other than that, any machine you are trying to share with must have Homegroup enabled and working well too (only works on Windows 7 and 8.)

I enabled NetBIOS right after you suggested it and nothing changed.
I'm currently using the computer with the issue to make these posts.
