Need more help with Win 8 & 7 dual-boot (UEFI, GPT)

I've followed the above steps and still cannot get a UEFI boot DVD listed. Here is my BIOS screen:

photo.JPG

and here is my one time boot screen:

photo2.JPG

When I boot from the SATA CD the DVD install gets as far as the glowing orbs that combine to make the Windows 7 logo and they freeze.

Not quite carbon copy as I believe you have a different laptop but the symptoms are the same.

You both need to boot the Windows 7 x64 DVD in uEFI mode.

For a test make the startup repair CD & test boot up.

http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2855-system-repair-disc-create-windows-8-a.html

I made my CD at a time before I deleted the recovery partition on the HDD (which was empty at the time and a tutorial here recommended deleting it) - should this affect me if I insert the disk?

If it does I can always make another one.

I have created the Windows 8 repair CD as explained and then ensured that the SATA DVD was at the top of the boot priority list.

It started to boot and the screen said "press any key to boot from CD/DVD...". The screen went momentarily blank and then went back to the Samsung logo and has hung there ever since.

I also tried forcing a boot from the one time boot menu (f10) and got the same result as above.

I tried enabling and disabling UEFI secure boot in the BIOS but no luck.

OMG! It took 5 minutes to get to the screen showing the keyboard layout. So the rescue CD seems to be working :) I presume this proves that I can boot from other CDs/DVDs. However why can I not fully boot from the Windows 7 Home 64bit DVD? I'm now wondering if I need to leave the Windows 7 installation process for much much longer, maybe 30 mins to see if it gets past the initial logo animation?

1) Bad disc burn, remake disc.

2) uEFI/BIOS firmware not set to boot uEFI CD/DVD's.

Is this something we can fix ourselves?

Ok so 1 I can test as presumably if the DVD boots from numerous other PCs it should almost negate the "bad burn" scenario.

Point 2: I have tried turning on and off the uEFI options in the BIOS. How do I know that my DVD is uEFI however? I have two mediums currently:

1. an original ISO provided by Microsoft of Windows 7 Home Edition 64 SP1. Can I tell whether this is uEFI?

and

2. A Patched Windows 7 installation uEFI USB stick.

Ok so I followed this tutorial once more: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/15458-uefi-bootable-usb-flash-drive-create-windows.html

I also ensured "confirm-SecureBootUEFI" returned false before trying to get a UEFI device in the one time boot menu.

I also tried toggling Fast BIOS on and off.

I've also tried the USB stick on three different USB slots on the Samsung laptop.

I've tried booting the USB stick from an acer aspire one laptop and it boot successfully and gets beyond the animated windows 7 logo so the USB stick is fine.

All thats listed in the one time boot menu (f10) is the devices:

1. SATA CD:: Matshitadvd-ram -----

2. WIndows Boot Manager

3. SATA HDD:: -------

So the USB stick is not being recognised by this Laptop as a bootable device. This is the third USB stick I have used.

Ive just tried having the windows 7 Install USB insytalled and then forcing the BIOS to ONLY see the USB HDD and disabling all other boot medium. Ive then tried to use the recovery F4 keypress to see if this will force widnows 7 to load from the USB.

No Luck :( It simply boots into the rescue partition on the internal HD.
