Solved Windows GWX icon suddenly disappaered

hi,

What did you folks do ? run that registry script i posted ?.

“Get Windows 10” App Suddenly Disappears from Some Windows 7 and 8.1

Since the “Get Windows 10” app is no longer available in the system tray, some people tried to launch it manually, but it turns out that the GWX.exe process is not working either.
The process simply fails to launch, and some users claim that it could be caused by a recent update that Microsoft made to the app to display pricing information for some specific markets.
Microsoft hasn’t yet announced any changes that might impact users’ PCs, but expect the app to re-appear in the system tray before July 29 when the new Windows 10 is projected to launch, so your computer should be ready to fire up the installer.

Hmmmm not seeing it i also don't know why displaying pricing information is needed for an upgrade that is free :eek:

Ok that Icon is back but windows update is not saying that an upgrade is reserved though that app is saying it is .

I did not do anything. It came by itself

Mine reappeared a couple of days ago too, after it disappeared for a week or so. I did nothing to try and get it back, apart from the usual Win updates I perform each day

That icon is back and windows update is saying an upgrade is reserved and the "more information" link is working strange is this thing playing hide and seek :D
