The rumor mill as now posted on several sites that Windows 9 is now going to be coming out in November 2014.
Don't kill the messenger. . .please. . .

It is funny how I started this thread to be about the up and coming Win 9 in 2014, and now it has turned into "you either love win 8, or totally hate win 8."
I was hoping for some thoughtful and insightful ideas as to what we just might see in Win 9 in two years time. . .silly me. . .

What did you expect?
If you love W8, you want more W8 stuff for W9.
If you hate W8, you want less W8 stuff for W9.

What was expected was just as I posted, something insightful, albeit then it would seem that the folks here on the eights are incapable of being insightful. . .or am I just being hopeful. Oh well just shows that being an old fool is just being an old fool. . .
Honestly? I do kind of think Microsoft is doing too much with Windows 8.
I have to say Windows 8 is (mostly) great on tablets and pretty great on laptops, but in reality it's pointless on desktops. especially when you have more than one monitor.
The future of Windows really doesn't work on destops. Unless it's those star-trek like touchscreen systems

As far as I'm aware Microsoft improved Windows 8 to work better on multiple monitors than Windows 7. You support that and so do others, so why is it that a few claim it's worse, gotta be something wrong.Honestly? I do kind of think Microsoft is doing too much with Windows 8.

Honestly it's working fine for me with two monitors, and I do not think that the future of PCs and Windows is so limited.

Good point !!!

Exactly, they're simple tile icons with push notifications. Some apps don't require a good tile for being there, some of the Desktop apps I have pinned to Start I'd rather have smaller as they don't need to be a good size tile.As far as I'm aware Microsoft improved Windows 8 to work better on multiple monitors than Windows 7. I suspect that it is the same old problem that is encountered with new Windows releases:
- MS tinkering with the code
- Sloppy driver coding by hardware vendors
Baby tiles!
They're called icons.

I always use two monitors and have never had a problem with w8 and the use of both monitors.
Does ModernMix allow you to move the apps to the second screen and use the desktop at the same time?
