I managed to get ahold of an ISO that has features already unlocked on TPB...... I wonder if it is the actual thing...

Is it supposed to be the windows 7 installer???

Someone just link me to wherever they got it from please...

What you've got is iso patched with WIMPill from My Digital Life forums! Nothing else!

I installed it one a separate partition (for a duel boot) and Windows Boot Manager says it's Windows 7....

That's normal. Don't worry about it. If you wish, you can use BCDEDIT to change it to something more appropriate.

I decided to try to install Windows 8 on a VCD following this Tut.

I created the VCD and the process went smoothly, with it functioning properly.

But I hit a problem when I try to install windows 8 by using the Imagex comandline on WAIK .

“imagex /apply g:\sources\install.wim 1 h:\“

Some lines apear but in the less than a minute i get this error mesege.

Error restoring image.
The data present in the response point is invalid.

I downloaded windows 8 using the torrent linked on the first page.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Downloading the leak and the redpill now. I can't wait for Beta to be released; I'm going to use it as my primary when it comes out. Woot!


EDIT: Installed and was working okay, except I couldn't adjust my screen resolution (it was set on 800x600) even after installing all my drivers. Also, after trying to change the login wallpaper with blue pill, it killed the system, had to reinstall...

Anyone know how to enable resolution adjustment?

I tried that. I also tried re-installing my drivers. I'm not sure what's going on. I actually had it working 1024x768 for a minute (even though my laptop's resolution is 1366x768) but I made the mistake of enabling the touch logon, and I had to re-install the OS because my mouse stopped working... I know there's a way to get it working, I just don't know how.. Also, none of my drivers are installing or working correctly. My IDT beats audio installed, but I can't access the control panel for the IDT settings. Otherwise, none of my other drivers seem to work with it. They are all 32-bit drivers as well, as the system is 32-bit.
I'm really not sure what's going on with that; I can't even dim my screen... Ehh, maybe it's just some bugs?

Ah. So I can do a triple boot with 64 bit W7, 64 bit Linux Mint and 32 bit Windows 8?

I triple boot with 2 Win7 64 bit drives and 1 Win8 32 bit - no problems. Just be careful when installing software it goes to the drive you want it to....some software is very sneaky...:shock:

or just stupid to detect the proper Program Files Folder lol
