Windows 8 - 7955 Leaked

Why all these X86-32bit leaks? I thought Windows8 was supposed to be the release when Microsoft finally pulled the plug for X86-32bit operating system for the consumer market like Windows Server 2008 R2 was for the enterprise / server market?

I highly doubt they would waste resources on developing milestone of X86-32bit Windows8 releases if they plan to have no X86-32bit version ready in late 2012 / early 2013?

Avast! works (I have it installed). Unfortunately, action center fails to recognise it correctly.

---------- Post added at 06:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:51 PM ----------

IE9 is very buggy on this build. I know this is Beta software, but to include a version of IE9 that is so unresponsive is extremely annoying, particularly when the version included in Build 7850 worked flawlessly. I therefore recommend switching to an alternative browser such as FireFox 4.0, which I am using ATM.

Yep ,IE9 is horrible here ,and you can't even install KB982861 msu update like in 7850 to update it to RTM version.
Anyway ,who cares ,Firefox 4 is working!!

It works if you run it in Windows 7 compatibility mode.

Well, did the red pill thing, and lost Aero. Whenever I go in to change it, it says Desktop Composition is disabled. Any idea how to enable it?

Edit: Well, tried to enable it through gpedit.msc, but the value wasn't there...

It works only in Windows XP compatibility mode by me! Anything else and it crashes!
Thanks anyway!

I did the Red pill too and everything is fine here!

And one interesting thing - every time I go to Computer - Properties ,explorer crashes!
And also when i want to go to ''Genuine Center''!

Best computer I could ever want.
As Airbot says there were lots of rumours and some of them were false. However, there must be a 64 bit build of this leak as they usually make both at the same time (I'm told).
As far as I'm aware I can't dual boot this 32 bit build with my 64 bit W7 install so I'll just have to wait. Alternatively I could use my other machine.
Sounds like this build has several issues anyway and, also, I'm not au fait with virtual machines so I'm reluctant to go that route.
I've waited this long and I'm still happy playing with W7 and Linux Mint so a while longer won't hurt:smoke:

I'm dual booting this on my x64 laptop.

Honestly, I could see using this as a daily driver if I had to. The only things that are stopping me are the red pill killing my desktop composition, the July 1st timebomb, and the fact that it's x86.

I triple boot with 2 Win7 64 bit drives and 1 Win8 32 bit - no problems. Just be careful when installing software it goes to the drive you want it to....some software is very sneaky...
