USB 3.0 issue with windows 8.1 help please

If your connection looks like this smaller end, chances it is not USB 3.0 as far as i know

That is one you use, with USB 2.0 device only as far as i can see and know from tablet shown. Do not see way to connect USB 3.0 with connection you have on this tablet. Saw from previous google pics, you do not have that connection.

Basically trying connect USB 3.0 device to that OTG USB 2.0 cable ? Look at one for samsung galaxy one on ebay, different male connector, right?

so i have this all wrong then? i was under the assumption the mirco usb port could be ok for all USB devices? if this is a USB 2.0 port will it not work with any USB 3.0 devices then? what i am trying to get to work is my Mobius dash cam which i assumed is a 3.0 device. the issue is its connects then disconnects and connects again but nevr long enough for me to select anything. i have once had it working and was able to drag files off it.

i have tried but its connects and disconnects as previously mentioned.
the Samsung galaxy cable connectors look like the wont fit

I do not know about this device, even looking it up i can not even get information to it hooking up to a PC ,let alone a Tablet. You would know best, as you have this device and bought it. What does manual tell you to how it hooks up, USB 2.0 ? These days what is pretty much USB 3.0 for reasons of faster speeds is External HDD. Sounds like a Driver issue, as hook it up check the Device Manager in control panel, go to top select view, then select show hidden devices. Any yellow exclamation points in Device manager ? What makes you feel this device is USB 3.0 ? Which devices worked well, mentioning in your first post ? Then you said on Windows 7 machine, assuming a PC.

Sorry about the delayed response. There is not that much info about this tablet i have noticed i wish i just brought a surface! As i have it now i just want to make some use out of it.

when i connect my dash cam or my pogo alert plus or a external hard drive they all connect then disconnect constantly one off they will work with no issues but i need this to work all the time so i can eliminate my laptop on my travels.
I agree i think it’s a software issue but i can’t find a driver that will work on this! On the device manager it pop on and off constantly so i can’t even select it.
They all work flawlessly on my windows 7 home machine and my laptop.

It's O.K., I can possibly see with the 2 other devices possibly having issues might not be compatible with Windows 8.1, but a External drive should not be an issue because that will not need a driver to work. As long as using correct cables, USB to drive and correct OTG. Drive USB 3.0 or 2.0 ?

Possibility might be system drivers, chipset drivers, etc...and the BIOS needs updating,
As need to check the manufacturer's site for this. Seems the pen drive is only item to work, but you say these other items work on windows 7, but not on tablet which has windows 8.1, could be compatibility issue with some, like dash cam and the pogo alert.
Do the firmware update for dash cam ? Check the manufacturer's site for dash cam and the pogo alert for compatibility with windows 8.1 ? Oh, and USB 3.0 devices will work on a USB 2.0 port you will just loose speeds of USB 3.0.

Not a software issue or conflict i feel but possible device incompatibility and USB Host Controller drivers you have in device manager are only ones for windows 8.1 and should work for that even though i felt your port is not USB 3.0.

The devices are all up to date. I have emailed teclast but the emailed got sent back as undelivered but tried again to and it seems to have sent will see what reply I get?

What devices are up to date ? Meaning Teclast system driver updates, whatever software or possible drivers are needed for these devices having trouble wit make sure they have updates for windows 8.1 or show compatibility with it. Video does not show much, but i see jumping on bottom right corner as must be not compatible

the pogo alert and the mobous dash cam are up to date i have also done all windows 8.1 updates. The video shows its connecting then disconnecting constantly.
