Unable to find sleep option on a PC

HI all
My dad has taken up leaving his PC on so i thought i would get it to at least shut off the monitor and go to sleep - but i ca\nt find the option to do so
on my own windows 8 (pro) pc the option is there - how can i fix this problem - THANKS this has messed up some how pic one is my PC the second is my dads

Thanks for your reply, problem is there’s is no sleep setting anywhere, you can’t even manually put the pc to sleep

If you click on the Choose when to turn off the display link in the left pane of your screenshots do you see the Put the computer to sleep setting like below?

Odd. Let's see some screenshots of where it should be showing what you're seeing instead.

Hi i have done 3 screenshots of where mention of sleep should be - theres no sign of sleep options ANYWHERE on this PC

Please post a screenshot showing what you see in the Choose what the power buttons do link.

This may help determine if a group policy may have disabled it or not.

Hmm, I don't see anything for why Sleep is missing.

What type of computer is this for?

Its a self build PC, i built it 2 yrs ago for him,

Windows 8.1 as well, I think he’s done summat to it to remove these settings

It certainly appears that something was done to remove them. I just don't know what since nothing obvious stands out.
