As regards the screenshot issue is there a specific format that is "much better" (i.e. much compressed) than the other?
There's a snipping tool within Windows (it was there in Windows 7) that you can use for screenshots.
From the metro interface, start typing "snipping" and by the time you've typed "sni" it will be highlighted. Press enter and click on "New" in the small snipping tool window that has popped up. I think you've "got it" from there.
BTW, the snipping tool produces .png graphics.
