Solved BSOD when shutting down or restarting my computer

Hi,

I have been experiencing BSOD with error driver_power_state_failure when I try to shutdown or restart my computer. I backed up my data files and removed everything and reinstalled windows. However after going through all the updates (both important and optional) I am encountering the same problem again.

Another problem I have been encountering is that my USB devices sometimes cannot be detected. Don't know if I should be posting the second problem here but I'm not sure if its related to the above problem I am facing.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Uninstall Western Digital software, install new version of Asus ATK Package: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download ATK Package
Uninstall Asus USB Charger and please detach Razer devices and uninstall their drivers for the time we are troubleshooting.

If that doesn't help, please enable Driver Verifier: Driver Verifier - BSOD related - Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 & Vista - Sysnative Forums

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I have done all except enabling driver verifier and it seemed to work for like 1 or 2 days then I just encountered one when I tried to shut down my computer.

Do I try the driver verifier now?

Okay I followed the steps and ran driver verifier, after which I managed to reboot successfully. How would I know if the driver verifier is done?
