Solved 100% Disk Usage, computer nigh unsuable, BSOD for CHKDSK

You have to create a partition from the free space and remove that partition in order to create the GPT.
GPT disk can only be created on RAW (unpartitioned disks.

Right click on the partition you want to shrink, take free space from
View attachment 64827

Here you'll be asked how much you want to shrink from the partition.
Depending on how much it takes some time to shrink.
View attachment 64828

After the partition is shrinked (I usually immediately make a new partition of it and later remove that partition) you have an unallocated partition

Another mistake, a disk isn't the same as a partition (should I quit helping for making a lot of mistakes in such a short time?)
In order to create GPT you need an empty disk that is unallocated.

You then simply have to right click on the disk and click on 'convert to GPT disk'.

The instructions I gave won't help, they were mentioned for creating GPT with a partition, but I forgot that GPT can only be created with an entire disk.
Empty disk as in another hard drive indeed, else you'll loose everything on the hard drive.

I could make a USB using files from Windows correct? Would the USB I already made for recovery work? When I boot up to the USB, it asks if I want to install Windows, and then down in the corner is the repair option that I used.

I just went about retrieving his product key using this guide: (How to Find Your Lost Windows or Office Product Keys)

I would normally have the installation CD, but my family and I are currently in the process of moving and I have no clue where anything is.

Alright, I finished reinstalling everything and got the computer working. It looks like the issue might be fixed, but I can't be sure since not everything is updated. His LAN driver is missing, so I am trying to find that right now so we can get his Windows fully updated. There is a weird issue with the right click menu, I'm not sure if it is due to the lack of updates or something. I've attached a screenshot, let me know if there is anything wrong.

Alright, got an internet driver, read your thread. From what I can tell, the issue is fixed. His LAN works and he is currently downloading Windows 10. During the first attempt he got a Windows Update error, but upon hitting retry it seems to be working. I'll update you once everything is finished and let you know if it works.

Okay, I fixed everything and it appeared to be working for a couple days. We started moving a couple days back, and recently moved his computer over to our new place. Of course I was careful while moving it and there weren't any problems, everything went smoothly. However, upon plugging it in and trying to power it up, it did not display to his monitor. I also tried plugging it into my TV, which is currently working with my computer without a problem. I looked up some solutions on the internet and they suggest a lot of problems which seem too unlikely. I was worried t might be a loose cable or something, so I opened up his computer and checked on everything, but it all looked fine. I also unplugged his graphics card and then reslotted it and started it back up, but that didn't fix the problem. I'm wondering if this might be a software problem, because his motherboard seems to start up fine and everything seems to work - except for displaying. Any suggestions?

Is the monitor the same or different?
Is the monitor properly connected to the computer? Yes, you have said that the cables looked fine, but please check the cables again and make sure they are in the right connection and properly connected.

Alright, so final update. I simply took everything out and then put in back in, and then had some trouble with the HDD but finally got everything working correctly. We were worried the problem might have persisted since his computer was taking a little while to start (10-20 minutes), but the problem appears to have disappeared. Since the only solution we could really find was to simply refresh Windows, I won't mark any specific post as a solution. Instead, I will edit my original post to include the information about refreshing Windows and the fact that the problem did not present a viable solution in my case. That being said, you were very helpful in solving the issue, and very patient when I did not understand what you were asking me to do. Thank you for all of your help, and good luck helping others with similar issues!
