As I said, still NO FIX on Vostro 3350.
You must connect to external monitor. And then finish the installation. After that choose Basic Display driver. (how to do that You can find in this thread.)

So you are telling me that there is a fix for the DELL Inspiron 5110 with a Intel(R) HD 3000 Graphics Card to get the screen to turn on without using the Microsoft Default Driver???

If there is could someone guide me to the correct way of doing it because I think that I am doing something completely wrong..

NO. I am telling you that there are no fix besides Basic driver

Same Issue. Did anyone make any progress?

Could you geve me your hardware IDs of the Intel graphics card? The hardware IDs look like the IDs I posted above. You can find them in the device manager.

Download an earlier one in which i messed up on the drivers and removed the line ";no install on XP". I fixed that in the newer ones. I doubt they even work in XP tho.

Thanks for this tutorial mate, but it still doesn't work for me. I checked the device manager and the drivers name is Intel(R) HD Graphics (The one I have), but there is a yellow exclamation mark on it. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Hi Avant and welcome. Please tell us the error code shown in device manager so perhaps XDleader555 can help you easier. If you're able to supply the hardware id of your graphics adapter, please do so.

Other than that, make sure your chipset drivers are up to date/latest.

Bios update for motherboard is always good too.

So far so good with 2657, though I'm sure saying that here will lead to something horrible. I think even a beta driver is more stable than the Win7 drivers on Win8. Hopefully Intel is pretty close to actually releasing it.

@unitoyle, XP64 is a whole other line. Is this the one you tried to modify?
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...ndows XP 64-Bit Edition*&DownloadType=Drivers

yes, its the one i modified although i don't really understand why i have to modify it so could someone please explain to me please.. Intel says its HD graphics 3000 for xp64 bit which i AM using XP 64bit, why need modification?? and when i tried to install it says i don't meet the minimum requirements, or saying its not for my system.. Ive been trying so hard to get any of my laptop working with their graphics and sound under XP and none has worked.

i have alienware m18x with i7 2960xm and has HD 3000 and dual 6990m both works fine in win7 but dual booting to XP will detect neither Intel HD 3000 nor 6990m graphics card. the same goes for my AsusG74, i was only able to get internet wifi working, sound and graphics Gtx 560m doesn't work, Intel HD 3000 doesn't install saying doesn't meet requirements. Ive read similar stuff about modding .inf files for the nvidia drivers to get it to work.

i don't get why modding in order to get it to work, the version matches and they add some weird lines which they find for their system where ihave no idea how to find it. something like this %NVIDIA_DEV.0425.03% = Section001, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0425&SUBSYS_C031144D

i somehow got window 8 to work following this guide and hoped it would work for XP but anyway.. this stuff is driving me crazy =(.. i think i need to calm down and go drink some tea

edit: i calmed down a bit and tried few times again. the nvidia installer saying "the graphic driver could not find compatible graphics hardware" and maybe thats due to device manager only showing "standard VGA graphics adapter"

You're right, it wouldn't need modification. I didn't mean to type that, but I always have that subject in mind in this thread, so I guess it came out. I'm not sure why you're having an issue getting it installed in XP64, but then I've never used it so don't know its quirks. I think you'll want to ask in a place where they're talking about XP, though.

yea.. time to go find a XP forum :'(, thanks for the help though.

edit: sorry guys for the trouble, it seems i have found a promising solution that actually got step-step problem solving post.. as i look it up on the internet for the past 2-3 weeks, it was really painful and this is a well known issue with down/upgrading system so i thought i would share it with everyone who might want to downgrade or have dual boot.

again i apologize for being way off topic and unrelated to windows 8.

Can't install NVIDIA graphics driver v. 275.33 - NVIDIA Forums, post number 6 seems to be the solution, i will go try now and thanks you all for your time, i'll be back in near future for windows 8 related issues.

Have you run the Custom Certificate Installer? It seems testing mode has been enabled since you have the driver installed, but the certificate is missing or damaged.

Okay, I've got a HP DM4 with a Core I5 450m and Intel HD 3000 graphics. When I try to install any of the signed drivers, yes I did install the custom certificate, it still says "Your system does not meet the minimum requirements." No matter how many times I try.

So, I've also tried force installing it through driver manager. Didn't go so well. I managed to get the driver installed but ... low and behold I kept getting a BSOD whenever I started my PC. I had to restore to a previous restore point.

Version 9.17.10.2657 Uploaded. This version fixed "artifacts" or the fuzziness you find when you play a flash video in full screen. I've been testing it for a while and it seems stable.

It's on the front page labeled as recommended.
