Hi there
One thing I'm finding GREAT on the latest build (x-64 build 9369) is the little button at the bottom of the START screen.
Forget the stupid metro tiles etc -- just click the button and it lists ALL the apps and then you can optionally have these sorted by Install date or Most used.
This in some situations obviates any need for going directly to the desktop -- you can just click on your desired application and run it. - This would suggest to me that the Desktop as a separate application is destined for the Bin sooner rather than later.
I would perhaps like a little more selections in the APP sort screen but if you don't have gazillions of apps it's actually quite useable.
Here's what I mean -- two screenshots enc.
And of course the search window is open if you want to type a specific thing -- say W* for example if you can't quickly see Ms Word for example.
If Ms keep on a bit with this it *might* just possibly morph into something quite useable.
Cheers
