Unable to create new folders on external hard drive
Hello everyone,
I have lot of media files on my external hard drive so I decided to tidy up by creating folders Suddenly I run into this error
This is a new laptop

Im running windows 8.1 I have full permissions and I don't know what to do
Please advise.

To clarify, you are creating folders on the
external hard drive, not the laptop's drive? I know that's what your title says, but still want to make sure. Since you are doing such a simple task and receiving a catastrophic failure, it could be that the external drive is having hardware issues. You can check it's sector health with Hard Disk Sentinel:

The drive doesn't seem like it's doing too well. You probably want to get it replaced using the warranty or whatever.
I checked your drive's warranty status according to the serial number, here's a screen:

I have replaced plently of drives with them.
And yes, it does mean you can get it replaced, provided your country is eligible.
