Well a touchscreen gives you the problem that you have to be very close to the screen. Otherwise your shoulder and arm will be very tired after a days work.
Maybe if we only could point to the screen, elbow resting on the table and you would see a little red point on the screen (like with a laser), one could work like that. But can this replace the mouse.....I don't think so.
Could be nice if you are a professor at school with a big screen. you could touch the screen with a large stick.....
