I have seen "You need to update to the latest version of Flash" messages, right after updating to the latest version.

There is an option to set the "Required Flash Version" (when you build a Flash project).
I wouldn't be surprised if some of these messages are caused by people setting that option incorrectly.

Yah, but I'm positive the popup I saw had nothing to do with Flash and everything to do with a virus.

If there are, they propagate through the Tray. Real Adobe upgrades will always show you an icon in the Tray when they are ready to be installed. Always tell it to notify you and not download it automatically.

I don't pay any attention to website plugin pop-ups.

Since I am almost always on the latest version of Flash, I just ignore any site that claims that I need to update Flash.

If a site doesn't work, I don't need to see it and I won't be back.

Lol. Happens a lot!

Not much help, but, clutching at straws, have you tried opening the viewer and right clicking, then having a look at a couple of the options. The first might be helpful, "Pictures Library"
Other than that, I can see I have had, over the period, an update for the viewer. That could also be contributing to the problem if you haven't installed it??

HOLY ****ING rubbish SORRY FOR THE LANGUAGE BUT, i just did this bios update if a software provided my samsung and some other updates with it and the issue was SOLVED!!!!!!!111 this is a hell of a relief

lol I realy don't know, it was a odd problem with an odd solution. who knows, maybe it wasn't the bios update but one of the other updates that came along with it? its too bad there is no update history in this software. Perhaps there's a log file somewhere

I never use Symantec anything, maybe it was a problem propagated by some feature of Norton. Glad it got fixed!

Norton Internet Security is a small download that gets attached to some programs. He may have had it without knowing, it may have been packed in with a toolbar or something.
