Multiple BSOD since receiving new computer - KMODE & IRQL

I totally understand that, softwaremaniac. It's not that I don't want to open it, but I can't in order to preserve any type of warranty that I have. Only having this machine for less than a month, I'm very nervous about voiding my warranty this early in case I need to return it. =(

I ended up contacting the place I purchased it from, since they offer tech support, and explained everything I've done diagnostic-wise (thanks you you and Mysers), and they said if it crashed again they would open a ticket directly with Dell. Well, it has crashed three times since that call at 1:30 pm today.... He told me whatever I do, not to open the case. It makes me extremely nervous since I bought a pre-made system. If I built it, I would have no problem doing it.

I understand. I'd recommend that they check HW, because from my experience, PSU's in such rigs are totally crappy and tend to go out very often. That's why most people prefer custom made builds. Keep us posted and I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas :)

Thank you very much, softwaremaniac! I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas, too! Just an FYI, I ran a full diagnostics on Dell's site, and it pulled up all the BSOD's I've had. They suggested many of the same remedies you did! They also had a BIOS update from 12/19/14 that I had not installed. The tool said there may be issues with my version of the BIOS, so I installed the upgrade. MAYBE that will help. If not, I'll be back! Thanks again!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! I didn't use my PC yesterday at all, until now. I see that it crashed once yesterday and once today. I've uploaded the log for review. Do either of the dump files from 12/25 or 12/26 suggest a bad PSU or anything? I'm going to contact the manufacturer about all of these issues but wanted to check with you. Thank you! =)

According to the minidump, the crash was caused by some kind of a Realtek USB card reader.

I restarted after the driver update, and it also had one Windows update to install. It crashed, of course, during the Windows update, but ended up completing after the restart from the BSOD. Here's a new log for you.

Thanks, softwaremaniac. That's pretty involved. It will take me a while, but Dell is supposed to call me tomorrow afternoon to see if I've had any more BSOD's since I spoke with them on 12/24. This PC is probably going back and I may get another one. =( =(

FYI, I've already run the memtest for 10 passes. I never got to run the HD Tuner before, so I've got it running now. I'll report any errors on my HD before proceeding with the items you suggested (or Dell calls.)

Thanks, again!

Test HDD and CPU for now. In addition to the tools listed, you can also test your HDD using HD Tune and post a SS of Health tab.

I just ran the Intel x64 CPU stress test and everything passed except for my CPU frequency. It said it was expected frequency was 3.60 ghz, but actual is 3.998 ghz. It seems as though my CPU has come overclocked from Dell??? Could that be a problem?? The program suggested I enter my BIOS and set all power management items to default values.... How do I do that?

**Just to clarify, my CPU frequency passed but with a warning about the higher frequency.

Yes, reset your clock settings.
EDIT: You have an option in your bios something like reset to default or something like that. Please do that.

The BIOS wasn't as intuitive as I had hoped, but I just went in and did F9 to reset everything to default, saved and restarted. Still shows as overclocked. UGH! I've attached the Intel stress test ss so you can see what it says...
