I recently had a new hdd fitted to my laptop.I tried to do a refresh but I got the message:
Insert media. Some files are missing.Your Windows Installation or recovery media will provide these files.
I got the same message when I tried to do a reset.I did a factory restore by pressing f4 on starting up,But I still get the same message on refresh and reset. The laptop came with Windows 8 preinstalled so I do not have any discs.
The old hdd just showed a C drive but the new hdd shows a C and a E drive.I did a backup on an ext.hdd on my original hdd.My question is can I restore this to my new hdd even though there is a C drive and a E drive.Grateful for any help .
