Solved Harddrive randomly goes to 100% and system doesn't respond

So have 2 hard drives and Samsung is one with issue, seems as though SMART and chkdsk is fine. Did clean install recently and same exact issue.
But have put same exact software back on and then it happened or before you put all back on ?

The issue happened again at 22:05

Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued.
and The IO operation at logical block address 0x23da738 for Disk 0 (PDO name: \Device\00000026) was retried.

It happened once during the Windows Installation Process. I thought it was a virus at first. But I knew it had to be something else.
So it happened on basically a clean install as well as a unclean install (I don't know the professional term for that)

Reset to device seems Port 0 where OS drive was reset usually done when rediscovered. How is your Power management plan set, balanced, high performance ? In my picture, check your device manager as you should have AMD controllers i believe what does it show AHCI ?

22:33 The IO operation at logical block address 0x55b92a8 for Disk 0 (PDO name: \Device\00000026) was retried.

It happens at different LBAs
I've not changed my power mangement, It's been default before the issue happened, as well as after. Currently, I am using the default ACHI driver. But again, it was like that before the issue arose.

If move OS drive to try on another port instead of Port 0 may need to enter BIOS make sure boot order is correct to boot from Samsung or believe won't boot up then.
Think would have AMD controllers for the drive since chipset is AMD. Saying issues happened with windows 8.1 even 8. Does say AHCI , you know BIOS set to AHCI ?

Yes my BIOS is set to ACHI. and I can't really move OS to another drive as it is smaller than my main one.

Move the drive to another port, not reinstall the OS.

Always hardest to determine, intermittent issues. As few different reasons why this can happen, need to try each one till find it, don't assume anything yet.

Possible drive is bad or SATA Cable, as had same issue but mine disappeared in explorer when this happened, turned out to be the drive after trying cable change and port change. Try another SATA Cable, as i also received same warnings as you.

Have an extra SATA cable can replace it with ? Already happened once since moving to another port.
Or did you use same cable on same moved drive with the issue ?

I swapped the sata cable from disk 1 to disk0 . And I just had the same issue. Weird how SMART doesn't detect this. Anyway will try and order a new drive soon
