Some enhancements, not much to brag about though.
Page options in right click context menu, options run in tabs not in windows, a few assorted about:xxx changes.

I can't believe this, After downloading 3.0 RC I opened it in it's own folder "Firefox Portable 3.0 Test", made a shortcut on the desktop and used it for awhile, then I synced it to IE bookmarks and after restarting computer it shows as 29.01. !!!

It must have updated the version automatically, it tried to do the same with me. That test version is as old as the hills.

OK, FF 30.0 showed up finally, In "About FF" didn't show update but I downloaded it and updated my standard installation and low and behold tho portable updated too. Wish it stops doing that, I guess it's because auto update is now default.

Oh drat, it installed it again, I always uninstall it but missed it this time. Oh well. too late now, it's all 30.0 now. I keep portable version just in case.

Speaking of New tab Page, for some time now (not that I miss it greatly but....) I do not get the page opening at all when I start new tab. New tab opens blank page only.

Check 'about:config' - 'browser.newtab.url', should be 'about:newtab'
and
'browser.newtabpage.enabled', should be 'true'

Remove Search Box from the New Tab Page in Firefox 31.0

Navigate to C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles,
in your current profile folder locate the Chrome folder, (if it doesn't exist, create it), then create or edit with Notepad 'userContent.css' file with the following code:

Just seems redundant to add a search bar when most browsers brag about being able to search directly from the address bar with the default search engine; and, because we can!
