Hi,

I'm back. I had some long periods without BSODs (15 days) but have had 4 in the last 24 hours, all when the machine was unattended. We can safely say that the AC Adapter fix has not worked. The HP complaint department, who promised to stick with me until we found a solution, has closed my ticket and bumped me back to regular tech support.

I'm attaching my latest data, including two BSODs caused by drivers other than ntoskrnl.exe. Since I last posted, I upgraded the Intel HD Graphics driver and replaced the WiFi and Bluetooth drivers and changed the computers name due to some router confusion.

Thanks,

Nick

Temperatures are looking good. I think that the CPU is the underlying cause here.

I have checked your dumps, and while they do vary. The consistency of a processor memory bank is present in most dumps.
I provided an analysis here: http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...error-ntoskrnl-exe-post457545.html#post457545

That should help your argument. I didn't think the AC adapter could have solved it.

Can you suggest "proof?" I have to argue with HP to get this component replaced, especially since the CPU does not fail using their diagnostic software, or Prime95 for that matter. What can I say to HP Support to get a new CPU?

Maybe Myers Briggs technical comments from here? http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-cra...rectable_error-ntoskrnl-exe-2.html#post458495

Thanks for everything!

Nick

Some of the events in that post are normal, I made a mistake there. The results from that post aren't enough to argue with HP. It will be difficult, especially due to the fact that non of us are qualified professionals.
