Hello, first post here and hopefully you can help get this solved. Hopefully this is posted in the correct location so if it's not, mods please move it.
I built my computer months ago and it's been running great with no issues. Recently, it went to black screen after waking from sleep and it ran some type of auto-repair with no success. I have Update set to manual so it wasn't updating anything and I hadn't run it for a few weeks. I'm not overclocking at the moment. The screen is black with no curser. I'm able to turn on Narrator and it seems everything is running normally, I just can't see anything. I can tab through menus and such with Narrator and then shut down. While booting I see the Windows logo with the spinning circles briefly and then it goes black. I'm able to bring up the UEFI screen and everything appears fine but as soon as I exit it does the same thing.
After trying a few things with no success, I've ended up reinstalling Windows but a few items in Device Manager have issues. One of which is the Ethernet Controller so it has no network connection after setup. Soon after updating the driver from the motherboard disc, it plays a tone I'd never heard before and then goes black. I've installed Windows several times and each time it goes black soon after updating that driver. I searched for that tone and it seems to be related to Hardware Connect. Once I left the computer running for an hour and a half before updating drivers and it ran fine. I can run programs like calculator, Paint, scan with Windows Defender, etc. but as soon as I update that driver, I get the tone and then black screen.
I've also tested running it with only one stick of RAM (in the proper slot as stated in the manual) and then reseated both sticks with no change.
At first I thought something glitched in Windows but a format and reinstall doesn't solve it so now I'm wondering if it's a hardware issue? I don't have any spare parts compatible with this rig though so I'd have to take it to a shop or buy something. Any and all help is appreciated.
