    Good question
Let's have a look at the tokens.dat file, while we're on the subject....
run the following commands, and post the results.

    DIR C:\Windows\System32\spp\store\tokens.dat
    ICACLS C:\Windows\System32\spp\store\tokens.dat
    ATTRIB C:\Windows\System32\spp\store\tokens.dat

A not enough Quota error is unusual - but not unheard of (mostly in Vista, for some reason)

A couple of reboots usually sorts that out.

I'll try rebooting again, but I think I've done it thrice without solving the error.

    Hi Noel,

After resetting my computer to defaults, nothing would work. I guess I'll leave it as such - after all, I am able to do my work just fine.

Thank you so much for your help throughout; I am indeed very grateful for your help and I'm sure you are very passionate about your work - I've looked at so many Microsoft threads and you helped there a lot as well. Thanks for your contribution to the community!

I'll just leave this here but I won't mark it as solved because it really isn't, but maybe some intermediate steps here may help others who experience the same problem.

Thank you to Noel and anyone else who assisted.

    Regards,

It says the Product Key is only valid for an upgrade install, whereas I have done a clean install, not wanting to drag any of Win7's junk and baggage into 8.
