Hmmm, is there more or less interest because there were no leaks?

There's a lot less interest this time around all around *so far*, if you ask me.

I wonder if we Developer Previewers will be able to upgrade(?) to this without having to start from scratch? Will the updates in this version be rolled over into our version?

    Do they actually leak it??

Or is it just a gift from Microsoft to keep people in max energy?

Agreed. I think the Metro UI is not being viewed well by lots of people. Being called "another Vista" is not going to be good for business.

So this will be the last pre-release version? I won't do much more on the Developer Preview--less to backup to move.

Microsoft Windows 8 Consumers Preview Version Launch Date Confirmed?

Seems like the wait for Microsoft's forthcoming OS platform Windows 8 is finally going to be over as the company has decided to unveil the consumer preview version of the product at the end of this month.
The Windows 8 Consumer Preview will be dished out by the operating system giant on February 29 at an exclusive event in Barcelona, Spain during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 and V3 has it that invitations for the event are also being handed out. Microsoft had earlier confirmed that the beta or preview version of the much awaited Windows 7 successor (as and when released) will be made available to anyone who wants to download it.

This, according to quite a few industry experts, is very much suggesting at how Microsoft is proactively trying to project Windows 8 as a next-generation OS platform for tablet devices in addition to the traditional laptop and desktop computers.
Though, Microsoft is yet to come up with an official announcement regarding the release date of the final build of Windows 8, many tech-pundits as well media - sources claim that it is going to be rolled out some time during the holiday season 2012.

Somehow a program was installed called "Windows Beta"! Messages keep popping up in the upper right hand corner of the screen. All MS subjects & it pings each time. They keep loading & cover the screen in the upper right, I can't see things in that corner, sometimes they come so fast the I have...
The screenshots is believed to be from Windows 8 build 8192 which belongs to the Beta escrow branch and so we won’t see much changes in the build which would be released to public and this build. Here are the screenshots...
