    I suppose I can try
When I went to set up a vm and hit the drop down list and click on win-8 64 bit it said system was not compatible this was for the guest
    Host is win-7 64 bit ?

This guest vm was going to be win-10TP but of course that is not listed to select,
    I already have a iso win-10TP 64 bit downloaded

I did notice VMware installed in x86 although the download said x86 and 64 not sure if that makes a difference or not I already removed VMware,
    Cheers.

Not sure what CPU you have but you could look in BIOS and see if you can turn VT on... Also disable Hyper V in Windows Features if you have enabled it.

    • An AMD CPU that has segment-limit support in long mode enabled in BIOS or UEFI
    • An Intel CPU that has VT-x support enabled in BIOS or UEFI
    • 4 GB of RAM

    Your processor doesn't support VTx ARK | Intel® Pentium® Processor E5200 (2M Cache, 2.50 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

As I understand it that means you can't run x64. There is a 32 bit Win TP though.

Thanks I was wondering if the iso 32 bit would work
I didn't see the difference in the two in the beginning I guess I can try that and see if it sticks
    Thanks for confirming
    Cheers.

    @Brink @adamf
Am I supposed to install win-10TP on a new partition via custom install options for a vm seems the 32 bit will work but the tutorial only say install as you normally would ?
    I normally wouldn't install on C where win-7 is ?

I downloaded iso 10TP in my videos folder on C
VMware is also installed on C in programs x86 :/

    64-bit Windows 10

Since this is on a VM, I would do a clean install linked at step 15.
