Wow! Things are pretty messed up here!

There's a user minidump (the .hdmp file) and a kernel minidump (the .dmp file)

The user dump looks like C:\Program Files\Dell\Dell System Manager\DCPSysMgr.exe is causing problems with msvcr90.dll - causing a user mode application crash. I'd uninstall the Dell System Manager stuff.

The kernel minidump blames dcdbas64.sys - the Dell System Management Device Driver
So, again, uninstall the Dell System Management stuff. This one also dates from 2009, so it needs to go away!

I went through 3 pages of google search before I found solid info on dcdbas64.sys - and guess where that was?
Yep, on my Driver Reference Table here: Driver Reference Table - dcdbas64.sys
I gotta get me someone to work on SEO (Search Engine Optimization)!

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs

Always in the last place you look =p

I've uninstalled dell system manager, crash still happened...

Dug around a bit, and got a few more things... Got another BSOD but no mini dump from it, just a full blown memory dump. (Uploading it to 4shared and I'll send you the link in a bit)

Error that caused the full dump:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000d1 (0xfffff88006ca036c, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000008, 0xfffff88006ca036c). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 060812-17281-01.

Objects of interest from the event viewer:

These are still coming up, thought I have the finger print and smart cards disabled =[
The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device HID\VID_1B96&PID_0006&MI_01&Col02\8&814e2fe&0&0001.
The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device USB\VID_0A5C&PID_5802&MI_01\7&95fd152&0&0001.

Still haven't checked the bios for security features to disable

The driver fails to load because it's trying to load but the devices are disabled. This is a common problem when disabling things within Windows. My suggestion is to disable them from the BIOS or remove them from the system. Unfortunately, most laptops don't let you take the fingerprint sensor or the smart card reader out very easily.

To stop those devices from loading, you have to stop them from running. The easiest tool for this is Autoruns (free here: Autoruns for Windows ) Then you have to search around to figure out what's causing the WUDFRd driver to load (this is a Windows driver, so it's not a good idea to remove it - it'll break other stuff)

I'm getting symbol errors in the debugger - and I haven't had them in ages (a year or two at least).
Have you done anything to the OS recently that might have caused problems?
Modified drivers, kernel patches, etc?

The .hdmp seems to blame an online Poker thing - stapo64.dll (maybe iPoker?) Please uninstall it.
The .dmp seems to blame AtihdW76.sys - the ATI Function Driver for HD Audio Service
- uninstall all ATI drivers
- follow this procedure for installing the DRIVER ONLY: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs

K, found the driver and disabled it
Also disabled one of the culprits which was ATI Hidef Sound engine, let's see how that goes...

Installed VS2k12 and the windows sdk, sorta hoping VS catches a rogue exception or something =\

Noticed another thing, the System Interrupts consumed alot of processor (10%) while downloading VS2k12 and while sending dumps to MS... could that point to some issue with the network drivers?

Basically shooting in all directions =[

Edit:

I don't play poker... will see where that came from.
I tried your step by step to install only the video driver, but no driver was found.. I had, however, uninstalled the Video driver pack... Will try it again...

looking into the flooded system interrupts, I ran into this post:How to get the cause of high CPU usage by DPC / Interrupt - MSFN Forum

Taking the easy way out, I installed LatencyMon (bottom of the post) that gave me the following message:

Your system appears to be having trouble handling real-time audio and other tasks. You are likely to experience buffer underruns appearing as drop outs, clicks or pops. One or more DPC routines executed by a driver running in your system appear to be executing for too long. At least one detected problem appears to be network related. In case you are using a WLAN adapter, try disabling it to get better results. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.

I am Experiencing the drop outs, clicks, pops and buffer underruns. It seems to be pointing to NDIS.sys as the source of the highest execution time, followed by TCP/IP and USBPORT.sys

Also identified MS AntiMalware as the source of many hard page faults...

Going to check on the USB and wireless drivers... Maybe disable windows defender for a bit, and avoid any extensive surfing on the web....

Thanks for finding the references for the stapo64.dll - my research must've missed those!

While I'm not familiar with LatencyMon, it appears to show audio errors - which should serve to confirm issues with stap064.sys.
Try disabling audio (in the BIOS if possible) and uninstalling the drivers to see if that helps

If that doesn't help, then we move on to the network stuff. FYI - I ran LatencyMon on my system and I also get high numbers in network and USB. The high page fault numbers in Microsoft Security Essentials is normal (I think)

No problem!

My Bios is kinda restrictive, only lets me disable a few things, didn't see audio on it
I ran into another forum saying it's an issue from Win7, that wasn't quite as bad as it is on win8
High DPC Latency, Dell XPS M1530, Windows 8 Consumer Preview
ndis.sys- High DPC latenecy / High DPC CPU usage - Sysinternals Forums

really out of ideas...as far as I know I have everything up to date... (tried disabling the ACPI component and power management on the wireless card to see if the latency would drop but nah) On monday I'll try without the wireless and see how things go....

Ok... Hi latency and sound jittering turned out to be Driver Verifier's fault... seeing as it had been quite a while since a bsod, turned it off and now sound's good

No freezes for a while, and I put the notebook to sleep twice! (before it would crash)
So things are looking good... the computer is actually useable atm... hope the crashes stopped...

OOB Video drivers and a few disabled components though =\ (nothing I use much anyways :p )

edit:
Nope... still crashes....

usasma, how does that crash on ctrl + scroll lock work? couldn't get it to crash =[

Have you made the required registry entries?
You have to change one of these keys (Backup your registry first - a System Restore point will do this for you)
A reboot is also required for the changes to take effect.

If you are using a USB keyboard (Press Ctrl-ScrLK-ScrLK to initiate the STOP 0xE2 crash):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\kbdhid\Parameters
Make this key:
CrashOnCtrlScrollREG_DWORD0x1USB Keyboard crash w/Ctrl/Scroll Lock/Scroll Lock

If you are using a PS2 keyboard (Press Ctrl-ScrLK-ScrLK to initiate the STOP 0xE2 crash):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters
Make this key:
CrashOnCtrlScrollREG_DWORD0x1PS2 Keyboard crash w/Ctrl/Scroll Lock/Scroll Lock

It should work with Win8 as there's no significant change in these features (but I haven't tested it myself).

I made the change, but it didn't crash when I pressed on my wireless keyboard...
On the notebook's keyboard, there's no scroll lock

starting to get hd errors, after all the crashes... so I think I'm going to stop playing around a bit =\

I keep a spare PS2 and a spare USB keyboard and mouse for just such occasions.

I had it configured properly... could be the high IRQL stopping the crash from happening...
Gonna try the disable C-States approach mentioned in another post... Though, I had already tried disabling SpeedStep and that didn't work =\

I've seen reference to C-States on one other post. It may be an issue with Win8 and certain chipsets.

If you have no disable C-States option in the BIOS (most laptops don't) you can workaround by creating a new Custom Power Plan and set - as an advanced option - in the Processor Power Management Tab the minimum processor rate at 50-70% ( i set myself at 50%) and the maximum processor rate at the very same value! (50%-50% or 70%-70%).

No crashes since then! Yes it takes from the processing power, but at least the system is stable.
As i noticed here and on other forums, this is an Intel only problem.

P.S. I joined 8Forums only to post this solution. If you are regulars on other forums, post it there also, it would help others too.
