I had the same corruption but even though this is now cured my File/Windows Explorer still will not open maximized. I have googled it and tried all the suggestions such as streaching and alt+x, Control+x, shift+x and variations of each. I also tried those commands with file/close. I have change the properties from max to normal and then back to maximized but still it opens minimized. I tried the windows online troubleshooter and it opened maximized but for some reason a pop up said that my computer was going to close in 2 minutes (I was on mains power and the battery was fully charged.). I therefore rebooted and File Explorer was back to opening minimized.
Did anyone find a resolution to the problem of File/Windows Explorer always opening minimized?
