Hi folks
My wife has a new Asus notebook running on Windows 8.0. The sytem security settings indicate that Windows Defender is the active firewall and anti-virus programme but can anyone advise me if Defender does actually provide a robust antivirus protection or is it better to disable it (if so, how?) and install a recognised antivirus programme ie I'm still using XP on my old computer and have used Grisoft's AVG system successfully on it for several years.
Any advice welcome
