Windows Blue Build 9385 Pictures has been leaked

As seen on PCBeta, pictures alleging to be from Windows 8.1, which some have coined as "Blue," shows a number of aspects. The build, numbered 9385, first shows a download dialog of which the user appears to be downloading the ISO via an online file-sharing site. A second image features the desktop with an open folder and messages appearing on the screen.

Is ReFS available in the build you have?

No, and I couldn't get it working porting RTM files and editing registry entries. The ReFS option does show up in the format dialog, but nothing happens after "formatting".

Haven't had a chance to play with this yet -- but the ReFS is there I think for handling / processing Network drives from Windows 2012 server which DOES handle this file format -- I might download W 2012 server from TechNet and have a play with this feature to see how this build acts as a CLIENT for the server. Easy enough to do running these as Virtual machines.

Note also that currently there isn't any commitment from Ms to provide for the reFS system to be on the BOOT drive even for the "Official" release of Windows 8.1 --we'll have to wait and see.

Still no leaked x-64 bit version yet though - the 9385 build is x-86.

I've had a play with Build 9385. Noticed that the "Assigned Access" mode, a.k.a "Kiosk Mode", which present in the menus does not seem to allow configuration. Whenever I choose "Choose an account', it draws a box (but doesn't show any user accounts in it) and then the entire thing locks up and I have to close out the app.

Also noticed that when clicking "Add a user", it would also hang right there.


Anybody else seem the same?

ReFS IS available - but only on W2012 SERVER. Shared network drives CAN READ / WRITE already (including CURRENT release of Windows 8). Note though even on W2012 SERVER ReFS cannot be used as the BOOT system. I don't know if you can Partition a drive to have say ONE partition in ReFS and the rest in NTFS or whether the whole drive has to be ReFS.

I want to test some NEW variations once I've downloaded the latest W2012 server from TechNet.
