Windows 8 Pro 8.1 from DreamSpark 64 bit?

Hi,

I've installed Windows 8.1 Pro from DreamSpark on a brand new hard drive. All is well.

My machine (2xquadcore Xeons with 8GB RAM) says it has 8GB but only uses 4GB - because it has installed the 32 bit version of Windows. It didn't give me the option to install the 64 bit version.

How do I install the 64 bit version?

It depends what type of CPU you have in your system. If it is only 32 bit then you can only run 32 bit OS.

You also need the 64 bit ISO. Did you download and try installing with that?
