Solved Windows 8 Constantly Crashing recently

Thanks for letting us know!
Keep a log of what you do to the system for the next week or 2. Nothing exact, just to give yourself an idea if anything doesn't work right.

We'll be here if you need to ask questions.
Good luck!

Alright, just a quick update:

Using a Windows 8 disc a friend lent me, I was able to do a clean install of the OS by wiping the partitions and installing afresh. As soon as I restored Windows, I downloaded the Windows 7 DVD/USB tool and created a USB disc with the Windows 8 image on it (it's bootable).

With my external hard drive, I was able to access the files on my C drive prior to the clean install (courtesy of Memeo Instant Backup), and copy them manually over to my newly-installed OS. Since my computer HD has a 750GB capacity and my external hard drive has 1TB, I found I had some extra space and decided to use Windows Easy Transfer and do a new backup of my new system IN ADDITION to my Memeo Instant Backup data.

I've managed to reinstall nearly ALL of my programs and everything seems to be working smoothly at the moment.

What I plan to do next is delete my Memeo backup (keeping my Windows Easy Transfer file alive) and backup again using Memeo.

I've installed some of the same video drivers which seemed to have given me the issues from before, and nothing has happened.

I'll be sure to update you on any major changes I experience within a week or two. Thanks. :)

So I've had one strange encounter since the clean install. Last night, at 1:37am, I hit WinKey + L to lock my computer. The next morning, when I turned on my monitor, it displayed my lock screen, with "1:37" for the time and it was frozen, except for my mouse. My mouse could move, but I couldn't unlock the screen or even hit ctrl+alt+delete. I powered it off and when it booted it worked just fine...but I'm not sure why it would do that.

Any ideas?

Update storage, video, chipset, and maybe even audio drivers. Also any other programs such as the Intel Management Engine stuff (they have drivers also). Hibernation/sleep issues are usually related to them.

I wonder if you're having issues with Hybrid Sleep? I don't know much about it, but have seen some posts about problems with it. Try disabling it (in Power Options I think).
