Hi,

I was just wondering - can Windows 8 support my graphics card?

It's Nvidia GeForce FX5500 AGP8X 256 MB AGP.

The easiest way to get your answer would be to go to the following nVidia link and see if they have a Windows 8.1 driver for your video card. Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers That link is for nVidis drivers. If you aren't in the USA, just change the en-us at the ende of the link for what letters your country uses.

AGP = really old card. I haven't seen a motherboard with an AGP slot in it in a long time. On hardware that old you may have more than just Video card driver issues. I'd run the upgrade advisor on that system and see what it has to say about the hardware. You may find the CPU isn't supported which is a game stopper. Upgrade Assistant: FAQ - Windows Help

Windows Vista drivers should work fine.

I had Windows 8.1 on a rig with onboard Intel 82915g with Vista drivers. Download Vista drivers form nVidia site and try manually installing them in compatibility mode. Also check Windows Update Catalog site.

:)
