Hi there
Has anybody attempted to create a Windows 8.1 to go (note not Windows 8) and got it working.
You can create a Windows 8 to go (enterprise) Manually without needing a "Certified" device
Creating a Non-Certified Windows To Go USB Drive » ADMIN Magazine
I haven't had time to test creating a Windows 8.1 to go system yet -- one might have to use the BOOT command described in the last section of the tutorial (the BCD command) from a Windows 8 Enterprise system rather than a bog standard Windows 8 system.
(The boot files are different than from Win 7 as these boot files create a bootable and LOADABLE windows system that will run from an external device as a FULL windows system).
If anybody has got this working with Windows 8.1 I'll be very interested. Please post.
Cheers
