It frees up space on the C: drive, various reports indicate 1.6 GB or more is so gained.

This tools works pretty damn good. Went from 1.01GB of free space to 3.00GB. Thanks for mentioning it!

Glad to be of help. If I could be sure I could re-set this WinBook myself, I'd buy another one. I want to know more about its basic setup and file configuration. UEFI and INSTALL.WIM puzzle me.

First off, congratulations on your purchase. You are wise.

I just purchased one three days ago. Love it.

I can't help you with your specific problem, but did find the Winbook tech help site: ---Technical Support - click on Winbook
Tech Center (click on Winbook).

I have a new TW700 with Windows 8.1

I am looking in the 5.57 Recovery Partition and it says it has 5.57 Free (100% Free). I heard that if you reinstall Windows and wipe both partitions then combine into 1, you can get it working as a normal install. Drivers are posted online (google TWxxx drivers).

I have a brand new 16gb tab with nothing installed except Chrome and I have 1.84gb to use. This is my first Windows Tab. I knew Full blown Windows ate up most of the internal space but that is kind of useless.

Here is my findings:
Windows uses a Recovery Partition with all of the core files (why it reads 100% empty, I dunno). So basically the Partition IS the actual Windows installation in this instance. All the extra crap (drivers, themes, non-essential files) are stored on the C:\Windows folder. Deleting this partition is basically like deleting the Windows Folder in this setup.

I run a 128gb SSD + 2TB HDD setup with symlinks to the HDD for installations on my laptop. So a 64gb+ SD is the way to go here.

Turn off Windows Updates ASAP. They store on your C drive and eat up space fast.

I have read that installing Windows 10 from a USB stick works fine if you grab all the drivers first. It is a bit buggy still though.
