Windows 8.1 Pro Screen Resolution Problem

I just updated from windows 7 Pro to windows 8.1 Pro and it seems to work fine, but when I try to change my screen resolution, it won't let me, its greyed out and won't change from the recommended settings, Please help!

It appears you need to update your video driver

Would you give me some info about your system, such as make and model, that would help out a lot if we need to find the right drivers.

Not home right now so I don't know the exact but I believe it's Dell OptiPlex 990 Mini Tower Desktop Quad Core i7-2600 3.40GHz 8GB DDR3 RAM 1TB HD

Hey guys I think it was a problem with my tv and I'm still not home but I will try it when I get home and if it works I will Give the fix here, since I have a smart tv it might not be on the correct display setting...
