It was a 0 already... i set it to 1 then to 0, it made no difference.

but I don't want to mess with dlls when owning a legit system. Maybe Microsoft will someday address the problem. They have a thread in their forums
My windows is activated but in lower right corner it says evaluation - Microsoft Community
but their solution didn't work in my system and the guy with the problem took a path I cannot take (W8-> w8.1preview -> w8.1 with the problem ---> revert to W8-> update to W8.1). I cannot revert to w8, my HP restore software doesnt work and I had no restore points in the Windows backup and restore tool.
