Windows 8.1 no longer activated

Working on my son's computer as it was infested with malware. After cleanup windows is no longer activated. Attempt at activation returns key invalid. Attempt to do off line activation and hangs and does not provide installation id. Windows 8.1 build 9600 now appears in bottom right corner. (I am working on this remotely) SFC /Scannow prodice result "some errors can't be fixed." Logfile of scan attached as zip

Please provide a diagnostic report. See the first thread.

However, after a malware attack, best would be to backup as much as possible and re-install IMHO.

Validation tool says invalid license but this computer was purchased new

The licencing files are compromised - in fact Windows does not even see it as installed - may be due to the clean-up process, but either way, without that, the service that depends on those cannot run, and activation attempts are futile.

The only way to recover would be to restore / reset that PC, unfortunately.
