Solved Where to download Win 8 Iso.

Hi,

First, I will start by stating that I do have a key. The problem is that I don't know where I can download Windows 8 legally, while the upgrade program does not work. Even tutorials like http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/18309-windows-8-upgrade-iso-download-create.html are not helping me, since it just gives me an error, probably because the period where they were selling it at a reduced price is over. That's my guess and it's probably wrong though.

If you are using wireless, use wired

The issue remains, if I try to use the first one, it gives me an unspecified error at the first screen. The upgrade assitant doesn't let me get Windows without ordering it, and I don't want to pay for it again. I went a few steps further than the screenshot below and did not want to provide a billing adress as I have already paid for a key.

Also, I am using a wired connection as my desktop doesn't have a wireless card.

I can't get there with it, it just says unspecified error when I run it, I don't even get to see something at all. Attachment is program from your first link.

Try deleting the downloaded setup.exe file.

Unfortunately I still have the same unspecified error when I do that. Guess I'll have to stick with Win 7 and try to get a refund for that key...

In the end I was able to get the ISO. Asked another student to put it on the college's ftp server and did a clean install, then used my key to activate it after trying it for a few days.
