Solved What is this strange drive appearing in optimization?

Thanks will try again with protected files unchecked. It did show empty before as you say. Will report back later.

Well, it doesn't seem to matter whether checked or unchecked, comes up as empty. Guess I'll just live with it and try not to lose too much sleep over it.

Just throwing out additional info in case someone else stumbles upon this same thing. I noticed it shows as 49.7MB which shows up nowhere in Disk Management, My PC, etc. Maybe it is just some kind of remnant from upgrading to 8.1 from 8 and then the 8.1 update. Glitchity, glitchity, glitch. Wish I could get rid of it without re-install. Maybe a third party partition manager? Might give that a try.

Try the following:

then type your path:

View attachment 42217

into a 'Run' dialog.
