Yes, that's Pamela Courson. She was his "long-term companion". You talk about "life in the fast lane"! They both eventually died of overdoses, although Jim's is disputed to this day. Jim was considered the "Elvis of the hippies". Most girls "drooled" over him back in the day. The Doors are included in my list of "top Ten" of all times.

Funny that you posted The Buckinghams. One of many of the "Chicago garage bands" that I saw during my high school days. There was a group of WLS radio disc jockeys back then that formed a production company that hired these bands for local weekend tours. Our local roller rink was one stop.

During pre-Woodstock era what is now pegged "Classic Rock" was once called "Underground Rock" because us [quote > freeks > unquote] were the only ones that listened to it and lQQked down upon for doing so. It was quite the era. It eventually evolved into the rock of the 80"s that other "Guy" posts. :p

Morrison was quite the poet whose words the Doors, as a group, put to music. Here's a good one:

Lol! No, but my soul has surely been "psychdelisized". :) That was my late teens and some of my 20's era. I eventually "settled down" and became somewhat "more conservative" in my lifestyle in the late 70's, but my political views haven't changed much.

That Paul Hardcastle puts out a good sound. Kind of a Jazz/Funk/Disco combination to it. It makes me want to get up and dance around my puter desk! :)
