Hi,

when i right click on my weather tile there is no option to turn on live tile, other tiles work fine, the weather tile used to work too but now its not working. :(

I tried sfc scan , reinstalling the app with no results. Pls help?

It may your time not synced or correct then.

See if this below may help. Afterwards, try turning the live tile on.

  1. Open an elevated command prompt.
  2. Type net start w32time and press Enter
  3. Type w32tm /resync and press Enter.

Thank you for replying again. When i typed win32tm /resync it gave me this message:

This Computer did not resync because no time data is available.

Check to make sure that you have the Windows Time service enabled and running, correct time and date set, time zone set, then sync with internet time.

Be sure to go through the steps here as well: Apps and Tiles Not Working or Responding: Fix in Windows 8

thanks for replying idid this and tried to run the commands again, now it got no errors but when i right click on the weather tile it is still not showing an option to turn the live tile on. I went through the steps in the link u gave but unfortunately the problem still occurs

maybe i'm lucky, it fixed by itself. Basically after uninstalling an incompatible application :] , there was no need to refresh windows8, thanks for trying to help :)) *windows 8 is too sensitive with incompatible software in general, ive had other problems too due to incompatible applications on windows 8.

Thanks,
Jimbo

That's great news Jimbo. What app was the culprit in your case?

Traktor PRO 2 for windows 7 caused the problem (An application for DJ's). Ive installed Traktor Pro 2.6.1 that supports windows 8 and now live tiles are working fine :) .

Thank you for trying to help Shawn,

Jimbo

Well, hopefully they'll have an update for the app soon that will sort this.
