Very laggy and choppy performance when moving mouse cursor

Hi there im very new in here so plz have patience and my english aint the best so bear with me

3 days ago i started up my comp, went in to dying light and very fast it hit me something was wrong.
When ever i was moving my mouse cursor everything started to lag, like a mini freeze lag and chopping performance.

Ive been checking out taskmanager and while moving around the cursor my cpu jumps to 30-40% and my sound starts to distort. Another strange thing, as we speak my cpu usage is about 8% and my memory is 63% wich i find very strange (idle).

And my SSD with my OS on it, is also acting strange it has a high % in usage despite being idle. I managed to fix this cursor problem, by shutting down Intel technology access service.

I really dont have a clue why this process is causing all this fuzz, but after i shut it down i immediately feel the strange feeling when moving the mouse. Like a input lag of some sort, hope some one can help me out here (win 8)

Welcome to the Forums.

First thing I would do is a complete scan with MBAM

The free version scans the same as the paid.
If nothing shows up then I would go in Device Manager and delete the driver for the Mouse.
Just right click on the mouse device and click Delete.
Reboot. When it comes back up it will say
"Windows has found new hardware..."
and it will install the same mouse driver it had before. For some reason about half the time this fixes device problems for some time if not permanently. If this doesn't work then there may be some other hardware issue.

I have had the same problem, along with many others. Slow mouse and static in speakers. The problem is tied to the recent windows update. This works. Press ctrl alt delete and click on task manager. Scroll down until you see Intel Technology Access Service. Right click on it and select end task. You will see your mouse starts working properly right away and if you are having static on your speakers, it will stop too. I did it a couple hours ago and everything is running perfectly. However I have heard when you reboot you have to do it again. I am not ready to uninstall it as I have heard it prevents some people from getting online.

I found the answer after days of searching online and trying almost everything. It is for sure a result of the recent windows updates. The solution I gave you is temporary, it will start again after rebooting. But until they release a fix at l;east it works.

First i want to thank everyone for their replies !

I did this Before posting in this forum, i figured out that this intel process messed the mouse that i have done. But soon as i Close this process the mouse gains this strange input lag. And it is not placebo What i dont understand is this high memory usage and the activity on my SSD its lika spikes in the graph jumping 0-5% which i find strange since im doing nothing at all Another thing is the average respons time jumps from 0-156ms which is also strange :/ all started after i shut down the comp next day this happened. I guess it was a auto update :/

Interesting, I don't have that service although my motherboard is Intel chip set. Also have all current updates. Wonder where that service came from. You could set it to start manually and may not start then when you reboot.

If it is a service why can't it just be stopped and disabled like any other?

That too. I was just suggesting the manual setting first to see if it worked for troubleshooting purposes but yea I would disable it also.

Still curious where the service came from, I don't have it.

Perhaps you have to look under Disservices.

Lol, good one!

Have to say there aren't many Intel add on services I have ever found useful for anything except causing problems.
