Userfriendly composite realtime antivirus and anti-malware

Hi I am looking for user friendly composite realtime antivirus and anti-malware software for win 8.1.

Especially ones that do not take over your PC thinking they know best!!!!!

Any advice appreciated.

Mine is Kaspersky internet security & malware bytes
I use KIS because of online shopping, online transactions - otherwise Windows in built Defender is more than enough.

You can head over to Win 7 forums & have a look at this thread & compare the pros/cons of each AV. People do add comments when something changes on an AV.

I've read several post saying that McAfee is good at trying to "take control of your system", but aside from that complaints vary from AV to AV. The final choice is whatever you are comfy with.

Remember though, common sense & "think before you click" is also a major factor in keeping a clean system.

I use 360 Total Security 360safe-home page it has options for Bitdefender and Avira database engines along with their own and I also use Malwarebytes Premium. Bitdefender Antivirus Free acts like is not even there, sometimes I wonder, if it actually does anything.
According to AV-Comparatives it has the highest detection and the lowest impact on the performance.
