I did a quick search, but I didn't see an answer. I just decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to Windows 8.
I have an Acer Aspire tower that I would like to upgrade to include adding an SSD along with the upgrade (possibly dual boot).
I have seen messages that indicate I need to install the update on a drive that already has Windows 7 installed, so would I need to install Windows 7 on my SSD first? Will the Acer recovery disks I created during system installation work for putting the OS an SSD drive with data on the HDD?
In either case, is there a reasonable way to clean the Windows 7 OS files from my HDD after installation of Windows 8? I do have quite a bit of content on the HDD (MP3s and photos) that I would like to avoid reloading from backup again if I can.
