I am having a major issue upgrading. Here is what happens.
I have the ISO file which i have mounted to a virtual drive using virtual clone drive.
I run the install process and select upgrade.
Install goes fine up until reboot of system.
After reboot i am presented with a message informing me that Windows was unable to upgrade due to a compatibility issue, however it cannot tell me what exactly this issue is. I was also told that i would be reverted back to Windows 7 with all docs and settings intact.
After windows 7 booted my user profile had been removed, nothing was in library and all app data had been wiped. I searched my hard drive deeply for my lost files and was unsuccessful.
Anyone have any ideas why this may have happened? I would be grateful as i wish to give Windows 8 a go but am worried the same thing may happen again.
Regards
